Who we are and what we do

PriOptics Corporation, a California Corporation, designs, manufactures, markets and sells copper wire to fiber optic connections and solutions. Design of the Company’s first product, the Fiber Optic T1 MUX system was completed in 2005. Sales on an OEM/Royalty basis commencing in Q4 2005 and has received in the following years broad customer acceptance for deployment in areas susceptible to Ground Potential Rise (GPR).

The FOX401R, like the initial product, is a Fiber Optic QUAD T1 MUX system. It features the addition of a set of redundant fiber optics. That will automatically switch fiber optics in the presence of a failed fiber optic link. The FOX401R is also available in an E1 version. The FOX401R’s primary market is to provide the link between the Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), such as PBX’s and routers and the Customer Service Unit (CSU) from the Central Office.

There are several reasons for using T1 over fiber in place of the more traditional methods. One of these reasons is if the T1 has to be deployed in an electrically “noisy” environment Fiber Optics tend to be immune to electrical noise. Likewise in the case of lightning prone areas the desire might be to completely isolate expensive equipment that has direct access to outside copper plant. The FOX401R will completely terminate the outside metallic path that exists with traditional installations.
